Let's Get Started

iOS

Temporarily disable mobile data

If you are using an iPhone or iPad with 3G/4G you need to switch off your mobile data connection while you set up the camera on the app. To do this, go to iOS Settings, tap Mobile Data and toggle off Mobile Data at the top of the menu. Once you have completed the setup process you can switch this back on.

Set up camera in app

Connect your phone/tablet to the WiFi network you want the camera to use.

Power up the camera and allow about 30 seconds for the camera to boot.

Triple click the white button on the camera cable.

Open the iCSee Pro app and tap Local Login

To add a new device, select the + icon in the top-right.

Now tap More > Add My Device (AP mode) > Next Step

In this step we will connect to the camera’s WiFi hotspot directly. Tap “To Set The WiFi” button, which will open your device settings.

Connect your device to the IPC_xxxx WiFi network with the password 1234567890 and then switch back to iCSee Pro.

You should now see your usual network name showing, enter your WiFi network’s password and press Confirm.

The app will perform a scan for your camera.

After a few moments you should be prompted to set a password for the camera. Enter a password and confirm it, then enter a name for the camera and then you will be returned to the Device List.

Tap on your camera from the device list to show the live view. You should now be able to see live video over WiFi from your bird box camera!

Android

You will also need to turn on location; if the location method is on Battery saver mode part of the process will not work, so make sure the location method is on High accuracy.

  • Make sure the camera successfully connects to your network before you mount it into your bird box
  • Keep the antenna pointing upwards as this improves the Wi-Fi range
  • To improve the range of your Wi-Fi signal, purchase a Wi-Fi extender kit
